Work Experience at Age Concern Luton

This week at Age Concern Luton we’ve been lucky enough to welcome Kayla to our office as she completes some work experience! Kayla’s notes of her time here are reprinted below. Everyone at Age Concern Luton would like to thank her for her hard work and wish her all the luck in the world!

In the four days of work experience I have completed letters, photocopying, copying down data, online leaflets for posting and made up some food parcels.

For the letters I had to fold them so they would fit into the envelope and put the stamps that they needed on and then they would be posted out, then for the photocopying I photocopied 500 double sided pages.

For copying down data I had got given some data that quite a few people had answered and then I had written some questions and answers down on to a spreadsheet and made sure that there was a box filled out for each question.

For the food parcels I had to put some canned food like soup, beans, sweetcorn, rice pudding and tuna into a bag then I had put in some spreads like jam and marmalade then I had put in some biscuits and some cereal like porridge or weetabix in it .

For the leaflets I created them online and had explained what some things Age Concern Luton do are then I had added a few images into each one of the leaflets and had given it a heading. I had created a few ones that had some more information on than the others. These can be posted.

During the four days at Age Concern Luton I have met some really nice people and I enjoyed my time here!
