Help in your home

The majority of the work we do with older people involves help around the home.  As people age simple tasks might appear daunting, or it may be that the amount of work around the house becomes impossible to manage.  Here at Age Concern Luton we believe prevention is better than cure, and so have developed services which allow older people to remain independent in their own homes.

One of the biggest issues for older people is general home maintenance, and keeping the home safe and usable over time.  Our handymen do a range of jobs from simple tasks like changing light bulbs or rearranging furniture through to much larger skilled work such as constructing hand rails, banisters and steps. 

Our team are also able to apply for funds and grants for specific home improvements and are able to source reputable local tradesmen to ensure older people get a quality job at the right price.
